Materials, in plain terms

- Metal-ceramic — a classic, robust solution for areas under heavy load

Dental crown
Recommended when a tooth is too damaged for a filling (after a root canal, a fracture or a large cavity). The crown covers it completely, restores its shape and strength and protects it long-term.
Dental bridge
When one or more teeth are missing, a bridge replaces them, supported by the neighbouring teeth. It’s a fixed, effective solution. Where you’d rather we don’t touch the healthy surrounding teeth, the alternative is implant-supported work.
Implant-supported work
A crown or bridge on an implant is the closest solution to a natural tooth: it doesn’t affect the neighbouring teeth and it preserves the bone. See the dental implant page for details on the treatment steps.
Modern dentures
Today’s dentures are far more comfortable and stable than the classic ones. For maximum stability, dentures can be fixed onto implants (All-on-4/6 type), eliminating the feeling of a denture that “moves”.
